Three sleeps 'til Waverton. Didn't do a lot last night on account of trying to print out a photo of Sir, Ass and I at Sunday's picnic and failing miserably. Anyway, saw Assumpta tonight - last time before she goes, methinks. The three of us laughed for an hour and then had to skedaddle as we had our respective packing. Funny how I end up online, huh.
So a bunch of us played soccer at lunch time. I thought my team would get our arses kicked but we played pretty evenly for a good hour with the score 6-4 (their way), then decided to impose 'golden goal' (basically, forget the score, next team who scores wins). We scored so we won, even though they kicked 6 goals to 5 all up.
But it was a lot of fun and I tells ya what - we sure do have a lot of people who are good at soccer in our company. I knew Paul played on weekends and also coaches a team (Sydney Uni Girls) so I was a bit scared of him being on the Green side, but it turns out everyone else on my team can control the ball and kick it around a little too. Even I had good moments. Can't wait to play next week.
Started my new topic today - consumerism. Dead easy. The first chapter is about comparing goods. Had to go to Paul to clarify that it really was as easy as I suspected, but I'm not complaining! Love any insight I can get from him.
More Gotye. Naomi is hosting a poker night next Friday (after usual drinks) so I'm glad I will have moved to Waverton so I can get home easily. Also glad to sever the only tenable link between Colin and I. He's really starting to give me the creeps. An example is a random email he sent me the other day (along the lines of) "I'm feeling 'deep' - please save me from my existential angst". WHY? Why me???
