Sorry I've been MIA. It really has been all A around here.
Since I last wrote in, I have acquired a staircase and sold a shelf unit. Got rid of Sam's mattress, finally (had it listed on Gumtree but ended up Freecycling it because the Gumtree people would call to say they wanted to pick it up at a certain time and then not show up, ruining my weekend).
Fun wise, in the week I last wrote in I did a tea tasting/high tea at The Observatory Hotel with Assumpta, which was a birthday gift from my sister. That weekend I joined the Ramblers Meetup on a Mosman to Manly walk, followed by Jen's birthday dinner at The Garden Brasserie.
We had our first writing group meeting in a few months, though sadly I didn't manage to submit anything. I did, however, give up my ticket to hear Holst's The Planets performed at the Opera House (to Boff) so I could spend an evening writing. Unfortunately a work article bled into the time and I didn't get much done, but I highly recommend pulling out of something that you've planned, to regain that extra time.
I'm in a bit of strife financially, at least until all my invoices come through. Part of it is due to Boff not actually having moved in yet so not having the regular rent income but all the bills (and I'm talking the annual, semi-annual, quarterly, and monthly bills all coming in this month *sigh*). Well, Boff felt guilty about taking so long to move that he has started paying me rent, so my woes should subside in a few weeks.
Otherwise, not much to add. Oh, I did go to a dinner party hosted by one of Boff's friends so I met a lot of his other friends for the first time. That was nice.
Went to Major Raiser on Saturday night and spent the rest of the weekend doing domestic stuff, trying to make my place liveable. I now have my desk downstairs in the kitchen/lounge and my bedroom is empty, waiting for Boff's bed (I'm keeping my mattress in the loft).
The rest of the week will be spent trying to flog a bunch of other stuff off, partly for the cash and partly for the space.
