I'm sick. Again. For the fourth time this year and it's only July.
It began yesterday afternoon with a tickle in the throat but by 10pm became an all out sore throat complete with cough. I can't believe how quickly it developed.
There are various theories as to why this year's illness tally equals my illness tally of the past SIX years.
1. I work part-time and am therefore exposed less to sick commuters, which has reduced my ability to fend off the bugs.
2. I work part-time and am therefore more often in contact with children, who are well known bug carriers.
3. I'm more stressed.
4. Greater exposure to cold has reduced the effectiveness of my immune system.
What? It can't be all of these!
