I've just come back from my Thredbo trip with work. I must say it was much better than I thought it was going to be. Despite the long bus trips, I had quite a lot of fun ("by accident", I like to say).
However, in terms of understanding work people, maybe it was not such a good idea to get too close. When you keep people that you know you don't want to be friends with at arm's length, the things you don't like about them don't bother you. But when you get to know them (and are more or less forced to be with them all weekend) you get pretty close to first degree murder.
Anyway, it's pretty late on Sunday night and I have so many things to do this week, it's not funny: DX goes into design and I'm two articles down, TPM goes into design next week and I need to write four articles, writing a new chapter of my novel from writing group on Wednesday, TAFE assignment that I haven't started due on Thursday, interstate friends and relatives abound this weekend.
I just need to leave you with two highlights from Thredbo: my first chairlift experience (the above pic was taken when I came off to have a wander at the halfway point of the Merritts Chairlift run) and tobogganing on a jacuzzi cover with my boss and two of my workmates at midnight. Yes, that's right.
