Just a note to tell you I am still alive. I'm trying to whittle down the emails in my inbox by four decent replies a day but thus far I have managed only two big ones and have not yet found a home for the medical article I wrote recently.
I'm currently being cyberstalked by a Nepalese monk, one of the monks I met on my trip to Nepal in 1998. He keeps asking me to help him find a sponsor and I am trying really hard to explain in as many ways possible that to get a sponsor you need to have valuable skills that a company wants in order for them to pay for your to come over. It's pretty hard for even tertiary-educated people to get a sponsor here so I think a Nepalese monk with secondary education and passable English has barely a chance.
I sent him some money the other day but I've been living large for the past month or so (I went to the freelance convention and I had to get new lenses for my glasses and just those two things cost over $500) so it was the best I could do and I don't want to become a charity.
Okay, I'll be back in a couple of days with a more detailed entry.
