Stuff about houses

Sir, Ass and I had a meeting today, about future abodes. Apparently the fact that my pet peeve is damp bathmats is a source of great hilarity to the other two, despite my deadly serious reaction - I would seriously reconsider moving in with someone who would constantly leave me with a damp bathmat. Will talk to some real estate agents tomorrow about initial inspections.

Other than that my week has been brimming with writers' festival stuff, which I shall catalogue at a later date. I spent three days in the green room, one day as an usher and two shifts as an attendant. Anna has threatened to call me in this week to sort out speaker fees etc, but at least I'll be getting $30/hr.

I've promised myself I'd do a number of things this week, the last week of freedom before I start at Red Apple. They are: write a letter to Peta, watch 'After the Deluge', publish my Northern Exposure travel diary and start writing 'Outside' (working title of my novel). Let's see if I can do it.
