So I asked the angels for help. I know some of you don't believe in angels and other spiritual matters but I drew a card last night—actually, that's not true, I was shuffling my angel cards and this one fell out: Support. Which means, ask for help and they will give it to you. So I have.
As a result I feel like I'm the one who should be helping others. This is good, ultimately, though I need to quell this motivation a little bit so I can get things done and not feel out of my depth in the meantime.
A few cool things happened this week: went and saw 'They Will Have Their Way', the Tim & Neil Finn tribute concert featuring luminaries like Sarah Blasko and Paul Dempsey. I really like Clare Bowditch, she is funny and genuine, and Dempsey is still THE HOTNESS even though he is still married to Stephanie Ashworth, who I like also.
I also led my first bushwalk from Bundeena to Jibbon Head and return (photos below) for the Green Walks Meetup group. Because it was such short notice, only two others made it along: I was just happy to get out and get walking. The best part was that although the day was on the very warm side, the headland was buffeted by a strong breeze, nature's own air-conditioning and it was cool in more areas of the route.
Yesterday Boff and I went and saw Daniel Dennett (one of the Four Horsemen of Atheism) who talked about religion through the lens of evolution. Boff asked a question about self-organising ignorance on the internet and Dennet said it was a "clear exposition of an interesting problem" but ultimately decided that ignorance wasn't sustainable.
We then went to Chatswood because there was trackwork (there's ALWAYS trackwork) and had a hot chocolate at San Churro.
I have a few stories to do this week but I feel okay about them now even though I'm nowhere near finishing them at the moment, because I have the power of ANGELS.
