Sometimes I read the news without realising the news. So, I knew that an earthquake hit Haiti almost a whole week ago, but I didn't REALISE, I didn't SENSE how horrific the whole situation is.
I mean, the aftermath of an earthquake is bad enough as it is, but with no real government in place, with crime at an all-time high, and with poverty already so widespread, the whole situation is unbelievably bad. It's times like this I don't want to work for a humanitarian NGO because I fear a sense of hopelessness would just drown me and I'd be useless.
A little bit of fun this past week but nothing I can report while I'm feeling like this. Also very tired. Work has a lot to answer for after one week. However, have been encouraged to find a new job in the first half of this year. More details later this week.
