Last week was a bit nothing. Lots of little things adding up and plenty of plans for future work (yay, future work...). Was, and still am, getting over a throat thing from last Thursday week so took it easy, no late nights. Except for last night, where I had to drop into work after going into Ruby Revue (cabaret evening at The Arthouse) and didn't leave until 12.30am. How sad.
Things I did last week: went to writing group and received some good feedback on the tantalisingly close-to-the-end chapter of my novel while slurping ramen and spooning ice kacang in the Market City food court. After that dropped into the Dendy Opera Quays to see 'Blessed', which was quite intense but well worth seeing.
On Friday night Sir, Ass, and Ass' sister Roons and I went to see 'Avenue Q' (imagine Sesame Street puppets doing Melrose Place). It was highly amusing and the songs were really catchy so I recommend that as well.
On Saturday I dropped in on Sibylla to farewell her before her trip to Tonga (she is doing a 1-year youth ambassadorship there). It was supposed to be a picnic but bcos of the inclement weather turned into a drop-in at her place. Actually it turned into a mini Red Apple reunion with Dom, Dina (with Desi) and Dan turning up while I was there. That's a lot of D-people.
Then popped in at the Tilbury for Jules' (from work) birthday but I wasn't feeling it, plus was really tired, so I left about 90 mins later and got home at 9pm, caught the end of Square on FBi radio and did chores like clean the bathroom and pack for Adelaide.
Last night went to Ruby Revue with Ness and some of her crew, saw Jo and Roons there and had a pretty good time.
So now I'm in Adelaide, it has been a long day and I promise to fill you in on the whole trip next week. I've just typed this whole thing on my phone as an email to my blog and my hands are tired of these tiny keys. Plus I'm sleepy.
